The Youth National MMA Championships will take place on May 8th 2022 at the Corpus Christ Youth Centre, 15 Ballymurphy Rd, Belfast BT12 7JL, United Kingdom. A live stream of the event will be available through the IMMAA facebook page, but spectators will also be welcome at the event for a charge of 5 gbp per person payable at the door of the venue.
This tournament, along with the Youth MMA training sessions under Youth MMA Head coach Danni McCormack will be used to select the Irish Youth International MMA team competing at the IMMAF Youth World Championships 2022.
Athletes must be registered for the Youth National MMA Championships and be present at the Youth MMA training sessions in order to be considered for a spot on the Youth International MMA team 2022.
NB In order to claim their spot on the international team athletes must register and compete in the age and weight division which they will be at the time of the IMMAF World Championships (First week of August 2022)
Weights will be checked on the day starting at 9am and continue throughout the day. There are no allowances on the weight divisions. First fight will begin at 10am sharp. Fighters must weigh in at least 1 hour before their fight is scheduled. If a fighter misses weight, they are automatically DQ’d. There’s no second attempt at making weight.
12/13 year olds between 10-11am
14/15 year olds between 11-1pm
16/17 year olds between 1-3pm
Entry fee is €62 per athlete.
Open to card carrying IMMAA individual members that have up to date medicals (within 12 months of the competition). No bloods or MRI required for youths.
