Quotes

SBG Tullamore coach Kieran Davern said “I think this is the strongest team we have sent to an IMMAF event. The bulk of the hard work and preparation is done and it’s about execution from here. The level of competition is the best amateur MMA has to offer which is a great test. The IMMAF events are the closest thing to a professional event on the amateur circuit. The level of organisation is more like the Olympics or a UFC event. So there’s a huge amount a young fighter can learn outside of the cage at an event like this.

C-Mac Mulhuddart coach Alexander O’Sullivan said “We are incredibly excited for the IMMAF World Championships. Our traveling team is a promising mix of IMMAF competition debutants and more experienced fighters at this level. While amateur MMA prioritizes learning and development as much as winning, we are confident we will bring medals home”
