Lisa Murtagh is an Irish amateur mixed martial artist training out of SBG Ireland (SBG HQ) in Dublin under coach John Kavanagh. She has gained recognition for competing on the international stage at the age of 41, serving as an inspiration for her dedication to the sport later in life.Murtagh typically competes in the strawweight (115 lbs / 52.2 kg) or atomweight (106 lbs / 47.6 kg) divisions. Her style is heavily grounded in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), where she holds a purple belt, and wrestling.She is often highlighted for her "family affair" in combat sports, as her daughter, Kayla Murtagh, is also a competitive martial artist training in BJJ and Muay Thai.
