🇮🇪 TEAM IRELAND ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT 🇮🇪As part of our Road to Georgia

June 5, 2026June 5, 2026

🇮🇪 TEAM IRELAND ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT 🇮🇪As part of our Road to Georgia campaign, we're proud to shine a spotlight on one of Team Ireland's standout athletes, Aidan Fegan of SBG Ireland HQTraining: 10.5 Years🇮🇪 Team Ireland Representative🥈IMMAF European Championships Medalist. When asked about representing Ireland on the IMMAF stage, Aidan spoke about the pride of carrying the Irish flag and the incredible support from home that helped him through some of the toughest moments of competition."I really like the feeling of walking out with the flag. It feels meaningful, like the fight isn't just about you."One of Aidan's most memorable moments came during this year's European Championships in Belgrade. After three fights in three days, the physical and mental demands were beginning to take their toll. Before his semi-final, he checked his phone and saw the support pouring in from Ireland."Lots of people really wanted me to win and cared about the outcome. That motivated me a lot. Winning the semi-final was one of the best feelings ever. Very surreal."Team Ireland Travels:Belgrade x3Favourite IMMAF Bout:Aidan's quarter-final victory against France's Kenjy Gonde."It was the hardest fight of my life. We were both exhausted going into the third round. It became a question of who could endure more. He was incredibly tough, but that fight pulled more out of me mentally than any other."Perhaps the biggest lesson Aidan took from IMMAF competition wasn't a medal or result—it was belief."This year showed me that my level holds up against some of the best amateurs in the world. I realised I can compete with any amateur in the world."That confidence, gained through competing against elite international opposition, is exactly what the IMMAF pathway is designed to provide.Aidan's story is a reminder that Team Ireland is about more than wins and losses. It's about growth, resilience, belief, and discovering what you're truly capable of when you step onto the international stage.Thank you, Aidan, for representing Ireland with pride and inspiring the next generation of athletes to dream big and back themselves 🇮🇪
